As many of you know I am very active on Twitter (@ifficiency). I can’t help but set the record straight on the NEW and IMPROVED Verizon iPad. Most of the comments I have read on Twitter describe how “Amazing the new Verizon iPad will be” or “how service is going to be so much better.”
WAKE UP!
The Verizon iPad is nothing more than a standard Wifi only iPad you can buy at ANY Apple, Bestbuy, Target or Walmart. No difference! No bloatware, not faster connection speeds…nothing. What Verizon has done is give you the option to ADD a MiFi to your purchase. WooHoo! Another device I need to carry around. What’s that you say? Only 1GB for $20 a month and another device to lug around? Where do I sign up?
From not only a cost perspective, but also a portability issue, buying the Verizon ‘bundle‘ does not make sense. You get a Wifi only iPad and pay extra for a MiFi. You only get 1GB data plan for $20 (unless you want to pay $60 for 5GB) and no proprietary service inherent in the iPad. Compare this to AT&T where you pay $25 for 2GB plan and $10 for each additional gig (you can go over by 3GB and still be less than Verizon’s 5GB plan!)
If you are a Verizon diehard that NEEDS to be on their network than go for it. Buy an iPad and carry around your Mifi with you (that’s what is actually connected to the network). From my standpoint I just don’t understand WHY you would do this. What do you think? Leave a comment below if you are using a Verizon iPad and it is SO MUCH better than a standard Apple store purchased Wifi only or 3G for that matter. I truly look forward to being proven wrong!

Good thorough ideas here.I’d like to suggest taking a look at a lot around the idea of french fries. What are your thoughts?

*;~ I am really thankful to this topic because it really gives great information *`.
I had been looking for more info on the Verizon plans and really appreciate your blog. We currently have Nextel service but will be moving to Verizon wireless iphone. Does anyone have any information on corporate discount codes for new Verizon customers?
I very glad to find this site on bing, just what I was searching for : D also bookmarked .
What the hell….. I’m convinced. My wife and I will finally get one of these ipones. Love the phone…hate AT&T… so getting it on the best carrier in the states is a simple decision.
The new Zune browser is surprisingly beneficial, but not as beneficial as the iPod’s. It operates effectively, but isn’t as rapidly as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an matter, but if you’re planning to browse the internet alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and much better browser might be vital.
There are some attention-grabbing closing dates in this article however I don’t know if I see all of them heart to heart. Theres some validity however I will take maintain opinion till I look into it further. Good article , thanks and we want more!
